La Maison du Peuple: Alain Ducasse's ambitious project for 2026

La Maison du Peuple: Alain Ducasse's ambitious project for 2026

Mathilde Bourge | 1/31/25, 11:18 AM

Work has begun on La Maison du Peuple, which will become the headquarters of Alain Ducasse's manufactures. The opening of this emblematic venue is scheduled for 2026.

Having left his mark on world gastronomy with his restaurants, factories, publishing house and cooking schools, Alain Ducasse is constantly pushing back the boundaries of his art. In 2026, he will inaugurate an emblematic venue: La Maison du Peuple, a large-scale project embodying the culmination of over fifty years' experience and know-how.

A visionary project in Clichy

Alain Ducasse decided to write a new chapter in his history in Clichy, in an emblematic building dating from the late 1930s and listed as a historic monument in 1983. The chef acquired the site in 2021 with the ambition of turning it into a nerve center for his artisanal activities. After several years of preparation, work has just begun to breathe new life into this site steeped in history.

The steel-framed building will be meticulously restored, in collaboration with heritage associations. The Apsys group, chosen by Alain Ducasse to oversee part of the work, has called on specialists who worked on the Eiffel Tower to restore the building's original paintwork. Other heritage elements will also be restored and integrated into the project, such as cinema projectors from the 1950s, which will be taken down to find their place within the building.

Alain Ducasse manufacturing headquarters

With an investment of 30 million euros, Alain Ducasse aims to transform La Maison du Peuple into a contemporary space, at the crossroads of know-how and innovation. The building's first floor will be home to his chocolate, ice cream, coffee and cookie factories, embodying the quintessence of his commitment to excellence and the transmission of culinary skills.

On the second floor, a bouillon will open in autumn 2026, welcoming customers in a warm and friendly atmosphere. This popular restaurant will follow in the tradition of the great Parisian brasseries, offering generous, accessible cuisine in keeping with the spirit of the place. La Maison du Peuple is already shaping up to be a must-visit address for lovers of exceptional gastronomy and craftsmanship.
