The Cheffes! 2025: A not-to-be-missed solidarity event

The Cheffes! festival returns for two editions in Paris and Marseille in spring 2025. Discover the program of festivities.

The Cheffes! festival is back in 2025, with editions in Marseille and Paris, bringing together talented and committed chefs for a culinary and solidarity event. The aim of these festivals is to raise funds for food aid while showcasing local and international cuisines. Here's a look at the two sides of this unique event.

Cheffes! Marseille: April 10-14, 2025

Following the success of its first edition, the Cheffes! festival returns to Marseille, in partnership with the association Les Cuisines Africaines. This year's program is in two parts: a series of dinners in local restaurants and events at the Friche la Belle de Mai.

On April 10 and 11, nine Marseilles restaurants will host chef duos to offer tasty menus. Funds raised will be donated to the Ernest association to support local food aid initiatives.

From April 12 to 14, the Friche la Belle de Mai will be the hub of the festival. The program will include meetings and exchanges on sustainable and solidarity-based food, as well as workshops to discover African and French cuisines. The highlight of the festival will be the Grand Dîner des Cheffes! on April 14. An exceptional gastronomic dinner will be devised by four prestigious chefs, each bringing her personal touch to dishes that reflect her culinary background and roots.

Chefs in attendance:

  • Georgiana Viou, chef at the Rouge restaurant (3 toques) in Nîmes and the AMI restaurant in Cotonou (Benin).
  • Céline Pham, chef at the restaurant Inari (1 toque) in Arles, a unique establishment housed in a 13th-century chapel.
  • Khadija Bensdira, chef and teacher at the École Hôtelière du Palais Royal in Marrakech, ambassador of Moroccan cuisine.
  • Sonia Marty Soukouri, nomadic chef and founder of the Black Culinaria collective, dedicated to Afro-descendant women chefs.

The Grand Dîner des Cheffes! will be held from 6:30pm at the Friche la Belle de Mai, with prices ranging from €40 to €80.

Cheffes! Paris: May 18 and 19, 2025

The fifth edition of Cheffes! in Paris will take place on May 18 and 19, 2025, at Le Mazette, in partnership with the Bondir.e association. This edition will feature some thirty renowned chefs, each preparing one of their signature dishes. All the chefs are volunteers, working to raise funds for food aid in Paris.

The festival will also be an opportunity to support the Bondir.e association, which has been working for five years to combat violence in the catering professions. The association will present its actions and unveil two new training courses for professionals in the sector.

The festivities will include a five-course menu, with a vegetarian option, served to 800 participants. Confirmed chefs for this year's event include such iconic figures on the Paris culinary scene as :

  • Chloé Charles of restaurant Lago
  • Manon Fleury & Laurène Barjhoux of restaurant Datil (2 toques)
  • Jennifer Hart-Smith of Tookies
  • Cybèle Idelot from Ruche (2 toques)
  • Alessandra Montagne de Nosso (2 toques)
  • Justine Piluso de 15 Porte de Droite
  • Alice Quillet & Anna Trattles from Ten Belles
  • Charleyne Valet of Le Cyrano
  • Alcidia Vulbeau de Bonne aventure, Cafe Jaune
  • Maddalena Spagnolo of Chez Ernest

Prices for this event are 45€ for the five-course menu (35€ reduced rate), with services at 6-9pm for early dinner and 9-11pm for late dinner.

The two editions of the Cheffes! festival have a dual objective: to support food aid while highlighting the wealth and diversity of female talent in the kitchen. Whether you're in Marseille or Paris, don't miss this opportunity to savor exceptional dishes while contributing to a noble cause.
