Pâtiss'Art announces its first edition with Nina Métayer as godmother

Pâtiss'Art announces its first edition with Nina Métayer as godmother

Mathieu Dubus | 6/28/24, 4:09 PM

Normandy goes pastry. From October 26 to 28, 2024, the first Pâtiss'Art show will be held in Deauville. For the occasion, the godmother will be none other than Nina Métayer.

The Spat Group has come up with the idea of a new trade show dedicated entirely to the pastry industry. The organizer of conventions, events and congresses will be in charge of this new event. But be patient, we'll have to wait a few more months before we can enjoy this gourmet weekend. Pâtiss'Art, as it is known, will be held from October 26 to 28, 2024 at the Centre international de Deauville (CID). Its objective is clear: to bring together all sectors of the pastry and chocolate-making industry, from professionals to the general public, in one place.

An ambitious show with an exceptional godmother

For its first edition, Spat has set its sights high. Around a hundred exhibitors are expected throughout the weekend. A special area is dedicated to artisans registered with the Chambre des métiers et de l'artisanat. Visitors can look forward to a host of events and masterclasses hosted by top chefs. There will also be hands-on workshops for all ages. There will also be an amateur apple pie competition for families, in reference to this regional product. All these elements are present to ensure that the passion and know-how of sweet gastronomy are passed on. What better ambassador than Nina Métayer, Pâtissière de l'Année Gault&Millau 2017, to showcase these trades.

The organizers have no intention of confining the event to the show floor. They intend to mobilize as many local players as possible. A "Pâtiss'Art fortnight" will be offered to local shopkeepers. The aim is to create a dessert, marketed for two weeks prior to the show, and organize a vote to elect the best.

If you're curious about this brand-new show and its workshops, mark your calendars! Ticketing will open at the beginning of September 2024. Prices for an adult day ticket are €10, €5 for children aged 6 to 12, and €20 for a three-day pass.
