Gault&Millau's review
The vineyard, cultivated for four generations, has been planted since 1919 on the hill of Montgueux, near Troyes, where the appellation was obtained by Hélène's grandfather, Léon. The cuvées are made from 45-year-old vines, mostly Chardonnays planted on clay-limestone soil from the Upper Cretaceous period. The Beaugrands have opted for integrated viticulture, favoring grass cover.
