Domaine Cocteaux is located in the village of Montgenost, south of the Côte de Sézanne. Descended from winemaking families, Hélène and Benoît Cocteaux cultivate mainly Chardonnay, which on this terroir always has a sunny, rounded side, with finely exotic, honeyed flavors. A few vines of pinot noir and pinot meunier complete the blends. Vinification is carried out plot by plot. Determined to reduce its environmental footprint, the company has set itself a new challenge: obtaining organic farming certification. To bring out the unique character of each terroir, the couple have completely redesigned their winery, integrating a new 100% Montgenost terroir oak cask, extracted from their forest plot, and sandstone jars whose mineral matter is taken directly from their plots.
