Gault&Millau's review
The Charles Coquet estate was created in 1883. Located on the slopes of the Montagne de Reims, the vines produced grapes sold to the Champagne trading houses. In the 1920s, the domaine began marketing its champagnes under its own name, until the death of its owner in the 1960s. The brand was reborn in 2020 under the impetus of Charles' great-grandson, and offers cuvées from the great growths of the Reims mountain (Louvois, Bouzy, Ambonnay). For the time being, only three cuvées are offered in a limited range, but there's no doubt that some nice surprises are in the pipeline. You can buy directly from the domaine's website.
