Gault&Millau's review
Château de Castres is a magnificent 18th-century Carthusian monastery extending over 35 hectares in a single block, located to the north of the Graves appellation and bordering the Pessac-Léognan PDO. From ancient winegrowing families, José Rodrigues-Lalande, an oenological engineer, and his wife Brigitte acquired the estate in 1996. Their daughter Léa accompanies them in this adventure. All the vines are HVE3 certified, and no weedkillers are used. Domaines Rodrigues-Lalande now comprises 4 châteaux.
