Château Val Joanis
Created in 1467 by Jean de Joanis on the ancient ruins of a Roman villa, Château Val Joanis is today one of the oldest and largest private estates in the Luberon. With its amphitheatrical topography, it extends over 400 hectares in a single block. Vines occupy almost 100 hectares, and are complemented by olive groves, woods and cereal crops. The terroirs are varied (76 parcels are listed) with red clay, aggregates, pure limestone and even rolled pebbles. In 2012, the estate was bought by Léonard Roozen.
