Gault&Millau's review
The first bottles from the great Couvent family of winemakers were not marketed until 1947 by Clarisse Couvent, under the name of Veuve Couvent. On the death of her husband, her son Raymond took over, joined by his wife, Raymonde, in 1955. Sylvie Monnin, with her husband Gérard, took over the estate in 1986 following the untimely death of her father, who gave the brand its current name. The domaine does not claim any label, but cultivates its grapes with respect for the soil and the environment, using treatments as little as possible. The plots are grassed. Recently, the range has been expanded with a 100% pinot meunier cuvée from the first press, produced with grapes from the fine 2018 harvest.
