Domaine des Pentacrines
39570 PANNESSIÈRES

Gault&Millau's review
This is a very young domaine based in Pannessières. After working in various vineyards in France (and even Canada for him), Clarisse Nunez and Jean-Marie Grandvaux had the opportunity to take over these vines near Lons-le-Saunier in the Jura, where Jean-Marie is from. 2022 is their first vintage and also the start of organic farming certification. In 2023, they acquire a further 2 hectares of vines. They now cultivate 5 hectares, the majority of which are Chardonnay, and also work with other Jura grape varieties such as Savagnin, Trousseau, Poulsard and Pinot Noir. The vines range in age from 40 to almost 100 years, and the couple have opted to work as much as possible in the vineyards to harvest healthy, ripe grapes, and to intervene as little as possible in the winery. The wines are aged for long periods, up to more than 24 months, in old barrels to give them a nice patina.
