Gérard Loriot
From a family of winegrowers going back four generations, the Loriots have been cultivating vines for over two centuries, producing their own champagnes since 1920. Maryse, Gérard and their son Florent cultivate just over 8 ha, spread over more than 50 parcels in the Marne valley in the villages of Mesnil-le-Huttier, Leuvrigny and Festigny. Here, Pinot Meunier is the dominant grape variety in the valley. Champagnes are often cellared for more than three years (instead of the minimum two) before being marketed. The winegrowers make it a point of honor to show visitors around their estates, and sell directly or via their website.
