Winemaker Jean Jouffreau was an emblematic winemaker. His Clos de Gamot took pride of place on the presidential table. But even back in the 13th century, when the "Black Wine", the Cahors wine so prized by the English, had a fine reputation. The current house was built in 1610, and he is one of the guardians of the Cadurcian temple. Sensitive to the authenticity of his Malbecs, if you're lucky enough to taste his "Perpétuelle" cuvée one day, it will be an enormous moment of history and tasting.
