Exceptional Hotel One of the most elegant residences in the Bordeaux region, a symbol of a French art de vivre that strives to preserve its heritage while looking to the future. From the moment you arrive, you'll be seduced by the refinement of this XIXᵉ building, once owned by the monks of Saint-Jean, then by a wealthy shipowner and, above all, the inspiration of François Mauriac, who used it as the setting for his novel Les Chemins de la Mer. Now a member of the Millésime group, the property houses some twenty rooms and suites that artfully blend the past and the present - tassel chandeliers and herringbone parquet flooring, clean lines and designer bathrooms. A stone's throw away, chef Gaël Derrien invites his guests to the former horse riding arena, now home to the Le Manège restaurant, to savor a high-flying cuisine that magnifies the recipes of the South-West, before exploring the surrounding vineyards. Or opt for a break in the spa, housed in two vast yurts, with treatment rooms that open out onto the park. And for total immersion in nature, the four lodges dotted around the gardens or the three luxurious tree houses are a paradise for the little ones.
