Maison Michodière: Hélène Darroze's new Paris showcase

Mathilde Bourge | 12/10/24, 5:10 PM

Hélène Darroze inaugurates Maison Michodière, a new address combining research laboratory and tasting room in Paris. Find out more about this new venue and its offerings.

With Maison Michodière, Hélène Darroze inaugurates a unique, refined address in the heart of Paris's Right Bank. Conceived as an extension of her world, the place blends gastronomy, creativity and design in a chic, contemporary atmosphere.

A space in the image of the chef

Maison Michodière reflectsHélène Darroze 's elegance and passion for art and design. Architect Marie Vidalenc, of Studio MVB, and Olivier Castaing, curator of School Gallery, have staged this intimate, elegant cocoon, inspired by the Parisian apartment of the chef, crowned with 3 toques for her restaurant Marsan. Every detail has been carefully thought out to create a warm atmosphere conducive to discovery and tasting.

In Hélène Darroze's vision, Maison Michodière is first and foremost a culinary laboratory. It is here that she works with her research and development teams to imagine new taste experiences. But it's also a place for sharing and indulgence, like all the chef's houses.

On Wednesdays and Fridays, Maison Michodière is transformed into an exclusive gastronomic table. Twenty or so guests are invited to discover themed dinners, evolving with the seasons.

A Signature menu to celebrate 25 years in business

To inaugurate this space and mark her 25th anniversary in Paris, Hélène Darroze is offering a Signature menu featuring dishes emblematic of her career. " The adventure of Maison Michodière gives me the opportunity to revisit the emblematic dishes that have punctuated my history, such as the mushroom "crème" and the sea bream with Colonnata bacon, fresh walnuts from Périgord and vinegar .pine vinaigrette, foie gras poached in a spicy vin des Dieux, and baba à l'armagnac," she confides.

Maison Michodière also honors exceptional products. One of the first menus on offer celebrates the Alba white truffle, a rare and precious mushroom. This initiative illustrates Hélène Darroze's desire to sublimate the finest ingredients in creations of the utmost finesse.

An exclusive hybrid space

In addition to its culinary vocation, Maison Michodière is also a hybrid venue, hosting gastronomic experiences as well as private and artistic events. This intimate, inspiring setting embodies the art of entertaining in the style of Hélène Darroze.

With Maison Michodière, the chef opens a new chapter in her history, blending tradition and innovation in an exceptional setting. An address that Gault&Millau has not yet had the opportunity to discover, but which promises to seduce lovers of gastronomy and unique experiences.
