Youssef Gastli closes his restaurant Plume in Paris

Youssef Gastli closes his restaurant Plume in Paris

Mathilde Bourge | 3/11/25, 5:06 PM

On March 15, 2025, Youssef Gastli will close his restaurant Plume, in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, for good. However, the chef is not giving up cooking.

"Clap de fin" for Plume (2 toques), the intimate restaurant in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. On March 15, 2025, Youssef Gastli and his team will welcome their last guests, bringing to a close an adventure that began nine years ago. Almost an entire decade of delighting taste buds, creating memories around the table and celebrating the love of taste through inspired and sincere cuisine.

The announcement, made by the chef on his social networks, reveals deep emotion: "Plume is passing away, but a new chapter is opening. I will continue to offer my services for your private events, and will keep you informed of future projects. "A message full of gratitude and promise for the future.

A restaurant that became a home

Over the years, Plume has become much more than just a restaurant: it has become a home, a place to meet and share. 115,554 meals served, 37,928 bottles uncorked, as many stories told and moments suspended. Youssef Gastli never ceased to put forward a precise, sincere cuisine, where each product was sublimated with respect and creativity.

A chef with an inspiring career

Born in Tunis and trained at the Institut Paul Bocuse, Youssef Gastli honed his skills in prestigious establishments such as Le Meurice, Lucas Carton and Seinsing. His cuisine, both technical and spontaneous, has always drawn on his history, between Mediterranean influences and mastery of seasonal produce.

In September 2022, the chef tried a new adventure with Dune, a second restaurant, which also closed its doors. Today, he's looking to new horizons, ready to pass on his passion in other ways, through private events and perhaps, tomorrow, other projects to be discovered.

An emotional last service

On the evening of March 15, Plume will gently close its wings, as the chef confides with a touch of nostalgia. But before the curtain comes down, there are still a few weeks left to come and say hello to this address that has left its mark on so many gourmets.
