Chef's Restaurant Caro Soubeiran is still here, she's just renamed the place, no doubt to give it a little more nobility. And she's done well, the generous and deserving Caro, who runs the pan with energy in this welcoming setting close to the halles, with this magnificent patio where olive trees, ivy, bougainvillea, fig trees and jasmine grow side by side. The decor retains the soul of the bistro: wooden tables and bistro chairs, while black-and-white photos of Serge Gainsbourg line the deep-red walls. Benjamin Soubeiran runs the dining room and cellar with great savoir-faire, and the cuisine shows variety and gourmandise: zucchini flower, mussels and pig's trotter, skate wing, tomato, nasturtium, farm pig's loin, eggplant, cherry, anchovy... Good natural wine list, well-made and efficient service.
