Gault&Millau's review
Standing on a mound since the 8th century, the château and its rows of vines, groves and hedges dominate the village of Saint-Émilion, with a breathtaking view of its church. Troplong Mondot is a premier grand cru classé B in Saint-Émilion. The special feature of this classification is that it can be revised every decade. With the arrival of Aymeric de Gironde, its president and CEO since 2017, the estate has been totally transformed: construction of a state-of-the-art winery for ideal vinification, implementation of thoughtful agriculture to reveal the terroir, development of wine tourism with guest rooms and a restaurant. So this château is not just a wine producer, it's also part of an approach in which all the senses are called upon to offer visitors a unique experience.
