Basic wines from the 2013 vintage for this Grande Cuvée, which is both "identical and different" to the 159th edition. An opening dominated by zesty notes is followed, on aeration, by notes of yellow fruit, infusion and dried berries. On the palate, the crystalline quality is superb. The wine is full of vibrancy and complexity, with notes of acidity, crispness and structure. As is often the case with this Grande Cuvée, it needs a little time in the glass before it reveals all its complexity and almond and coffee notes. A Krug you can wait for or open today with a nice thick slice of turbot.
