Gault&Millau's review
The Taisne family is one of the great historical houses of Les Riceys, owning some 20 hectares spread over 18 parcels in the village and surrounding communes. The vines have an average age of around thirty years. It was only in 2018 that the Taisne Riocour brand was launched, with the bulk of the clear wines destined for two fine Marne houses: Ayala and Joseph Perrier. Produced with blends created by Philippe Jamesse, the region's leading sommelier, production is fairly limited for the moment. The wines exude the terroir of Les Riceys, with champagnes that are powerful, chalky, vinous yet fresh.
