Winemaker The 14-hectare Domaine Pignier was established on the Montaigu hillsides in the 13th century by Carthusian monks. In 1794, the Pignier family acquired the estate from the monks. Today, Jean-Étienne, Antoine and Marie-Florence, representing the 7th generation on the estate, have been working their vineyard biodynamically since 2002. They produce Côtes-du-Jura, Crémant-du-Jura, Macvin, Vin Jaune and Vin de Paille. The wines are full-bodied, full-bodied and generous, making this an address not to be missed.
