Gault&Millau's review
Henri Merreaux created Champagne Merreaux in 1949, which has since been handed down from generation to generation. Christine, his great-granddaughter, now runs the estate with her husband Paul. The 4-hectare estate is planted exclusively with the Chardonnay grape variety, and is located in the Mont de Reims region, in the shadow of the Mont de Berru. Its subsoil features a deep layer of chalk, the most favorable terroir for the Chardonnay grape. Know-how and tradition are the watchwords of the estate, which has just been awarded VDC and HVE certification.
