Top Chef winner Jorick Dorignac joins the Maisons Le Quellec group

Stéphanie Le Quellec has just announced the arrival of Jorick Dorignac, winner of season 15 of Top Chef, to her group. He will be Executive Chef of all three restaurants.

The Top Chef season 15 adventure sometimes continues beyond the cameras! Stéphanie Le Quellec, winner of season 2 and this year's new member of the show's jury, led contestant Jorick Dorignac to victory. But the winning duo have no intention of stopping there. This Wednesday, June 26, a week after the broadcast of the program's finale, the chef from La Scènerestaurant (4 toques) in Paris shared some big news on her social networks: "I'm delighted to announce the arrival of Jorick Dorignac as Executive Chef of the Maisons Le Quellec group next October," she confided.

"Top Chef viewers witnessed my meeting with Jorick, this season's winner, and saw a relationship of mutual respect develop over the weeks. Our two worlds, though different, feed off each other, giving rise to a unique culinary understanding", assures Stéphanie Le Quellec. "I wanted to maintain and enrich this authentic human encounter", she continued.

Professional love at first sight

For Stéphanie Le Quellec, Jorick Dorignac is more than just a candidate she has accompanied through the TV competition. For the chef, this encounter filled a gap that had been apparent in her restaurant for several months. "The real luxury when you're a business owner is to be able to work with people with whom you have a genuine connection, and to be able to integrate them into your professional life. I'd been thinking about creating this position for many months, and after meeting Jorick, it seemed obvious to me that he should support me in my business", she says.

Like Pierre Chirac, who holds an equivalent position on the pastry side, the Top Chef winner will be responsible for supporting the chef in her research and development missions. For his part, Jorick Dorignac seems more than delighted with this new opportunity. "I've always said that Chef Le Quellec was the most sincere encounter I've had this past year. We quickly spoke of the obvious, because the chemistry came together naturally and quickly. Her support has been indispensable to my adventure, and this collaboration with Les Maisons Le Quellec seems logical to me. I'm very enthusiastic about the idea of bringing my experience and my world to this great new family."

The announcement of this collaboration thus signals Jorick Dorignac's departure from the NE/SO restaurant (2 toques) of Guillaume Sanchez, himself a former Top Chef candidate, where he had held the position of executive chef since 2018.
