During the Gault&Millau Tour Occitanie 2024, chef Pascal Bardet was named Gault&Millau d'Or.

Le Gindreau (3 toques) in Saint-Médard is once again in the spotlight. Last year, young sommelier Margot Duffort was awarded the 2023 regional trophy. In 2024, it's the chef's turn to receive the title of Gault&Millau d'Or.

For the past 10 years, this rural restaurant, housed in a house that will soon be 50 years old, has taken the time to surround itself."It's a real luxury," admits Pascal Bardet." In 2016, he was awarded the Trophée Excellence Sud-Ouest. Hardly surprising when you consider the chef's career path... "Trained at the Souillac hotel school, he began an internship at the Louis XV in Monaco in 1994, working under Alain Ducasse..." Read more

A restaurant with a taste for awards

Le Gindreau received its first Gault&Millau award just one year after opening. Today, the Gault&Millau title"it's not me who receives it, but the house. We talk a lot about the chefs, but it's the whole team." Very proud, the chef goes on to explain that he doesn't get up in the morning to get awards,"I get up to put everything in line to take pleasure in the day and give more of it." In addition to his rigorous work, Pascal Bardet also sees this Gault&Millau d'Or title as a reward for the daily involvement of the house.
